With over 17,000 five-star reviews, VoucherCodes is the UK's biggest and most trusted voucher site. Partnered with big brands like adidas, Samsung, John Lewis, Travelodge and Domino’s Pizza, we receive over 8 million visits per month. Right now, we’re hiring for a skilled Data Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a team of talented engineers. 
We're looking for a curious, customer-centric individual who can innovate and lead. You will play a hands-on role in the design and build of data systems; researching the latest innovations, lead brainstorming sessions, and pushing our tech stack forwards. 
Our primary technical stack currently includes Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Redshift, DBT, PHP, MySQL, Redis, SQS, Vue.js,and various tools from the AWS portfolio.  We are in the process of deprecating PHP across all our projects, with the data team shifting to Python. If you want to be at the forefront of retail technology, and create marketing leading products, this could be the challenge for you

 

What we need from you

  • Experience managing a team
  • Worked as an individual contributor at a senior level
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills: with the ability to initiate and drive projects proactively
  • Extensive AWS knowledge, including Redshift, Kinesis, Athena, S3, etc.
  • Experience with Airflow or a similar ETL tool, extensive Python experience and data modelling knowledge
  • Proficiency with build tools such as GitLab
  • Enjoy working with other engineers and stakeholders

  • Leading and ensuring on time and high quality delivery of the data roadmap
  • Hands-on continuing to migrate systems to Python
