Job Description

As a Customer Solutions Consultant at Google Cloud, you'll collaborate with sales teams to showcase Google Cloud's value to clients. Responsibilities include understanding customer needs, developing cloud solutions and architectures, conducting proofs of concept, and resolving technical issues. You will engage with clients to define their requirements, present solutions, and work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate integrations. You'll guide clients through legacy application assessments, recommending modernization roadmaps and strategies. This involves identifying business opportunities, addressing technical objections, supporting bid responses, and collaborating with product management to improve customer adoption of Google Cloud. The role also entails recommending integration strategies, enterprise architectures, and application infrastructure for successful Google Cloud implementation.
Must have:
  • 10+ years cloud native architecture experience
  • Cloud infrastructure engineering expertise
  • Experience presenting to technical and executive stakeholders
  • Understanding of customer needs and developing solutions
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and guiding clients
Good to have:
  • Experience with SDN, routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls
  • Security expertise (encryption, identity management, access control)
  • Application migration to cloud platforms
  • Experience with Banking and Financial Services clients
  • Relationship building and prospecting skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with networking concepts such as Software-Defined Networking (SDN), routing, virtual private networks, load balancers and firewalls.
  • Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and pen testing.
  • Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
  • Experience in, or supporting Banking and Financial Services clients.
  • Experience prospecting, building, and maintaining customer relationships.

As a Customer Solutions Consultant, you will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help customers and partners understand Google Cloud, develop cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and issues. You will engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present solutions on Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical issues.
  • Share enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environment(s) and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastructure and application modernization.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a solution on Google Cloud.
