Rockstar Games is seeking a Research Associate to join the growing Consumer Insights team. This person will be focused primarily on helping to bolster internal research operations (internally built & analyzed, CRM-fielded surveys) and helping us further develop dialogue with our player community.  They will report directly into the head of the Consumer Insights team.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. 

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Games Consumer Insights team works to support teams across Rockstar, including Publishing, Development, Business Development and Partnerships, Strategy, and Marketing, on conducting quantitative and qualitative market research to inform emergent business decisions.
  • We collaborate with other Rockstar teams who are producing similar insights through different methods – including user research, player analytics, community analysis and strategic planning.
  • We help guide our stakeholders with well-rounded, methodology-agnostic insights that provide as much value as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a variety of survey-based research projects from start to finish, including presenting to stakeholders and working with teams to integrate and action results.
  • Run a recurring community sentiment tracking survey fielded via CRM.
  • Conduct additional ad-hoc player surveys via CRM as stakeholder needs arise.
  • Embark on further explorations / deep-dives into already-fielded survey datasets to address emergent stakeholder needs.
  • Own and drive Consumer Insights adoption and integration of newly acquired DIY survey tool license.
  • Lend your opinions and perspective to inform the growth of the larger Consumer Insights team and discipline at Rockstar.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years’ experience in market research (either supplier-side or publisher-side) handling start-to-finish quantitative survey projects.
  • Experience running global, multi-market longitudinal tracking surveys (i.e., brand trackers).
  • Experience presenting to clients and/or stakeholders.
  • Effective analysis, writing, and communication skills that enable you to effectively express data-backed opinions and perspectives.
  • Play video games regularly.

PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.

  • GTA V/GTA Online player.
  • Experience building complex survey designs (including tracking, DCM, MaxDiff, conjoint, etc.) in DIY survey-development tools.
  • Experience running complex analyses / models on raw survey data (linear regression, principal components analysis, DCM, MaxDiff).

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

$89,500 - $119,400 USD
