Company Description

To achieve this, our 7,500 Switchers combine their historical engineering expertise and project management with digital technologies.

In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.

 

Job Description

Responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of the project, ensuring effective management of contracts, procurement, budgeting, and financial controls. This role require close collaboration with project teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery within the defined scope, schedule, and budget. The project is a priced contract with a bill of quantities.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Contract management
    1. Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with the client, contractors, and suppliers.
    2. Ensure all contractual obligations are met and any changes are documented and approved.
    3. Resolve contractual disputes and claims promptly and effectively.
  2. Financial management
    1. Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
    2. Monitor project cash flows and ensure financial risks are managed effectively.
    3. Implement cost control measures to ensure the project remains within budget.
  3. Procurements
    1. Manage the procurement process and monitor.
  4. Valuations
    1. Review and manage the BOQs for the project.
    2. Ensure accurate measurements and quantification of all materials, labour, and equipment.
    3. Monitor and control costs.
  5. Variations
    1. Manage and negotiate project variations.
    2. Assess the impact of changes on scope, schedule, and budget.
    3. Ensure all changes are documented and justified to stakeholders.
  6. Risk Management
    1. Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks.
    2. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  7. Communication and negotiation
  8. Reporting and documentation

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 12 years of experience in commercial management within the construction industry.
  2. Proven experience in managing contracts, procurement, BOQs, and financial controls.
  3. Relevant certifications are preferred, such as MRICs or PMP.
