Responsibilities:
The Business controller will provide governance and control over monthly profit and loss closing, oversees clean file management, monitors and drives finance health metrics by working with relevant key stakeholders.
Ensures balance sheet accounts are clean by proper upstream process and backlog prioritization. Work with customer experience team and management and financial stakeholders to optimize profitability of the products.
- Responsible for creating transparency on profitability at job, customer and Area level for AIR (or WnD) product
- Perform job costing analysis and ensure job costing controls are followed and that a proper mindset on Revenue Assurance and Standards is in place.
- Active member of the Finance team, bridging upstream process and financial control.
- Collaborate with all cross functional teams, break the barrier to maintain financial hygiene
- Drive key finops processes by ensuring accuracy and timeliness of job costing process (updating revenue and cost in operational systems), ensure soft and hard closing of jobs are carried out as per KPI, without being in the position to adjust files.
- Support profitability/margin analysis, review gross profit of jobs daily with the goal that every job shows the most accurate gross profits according to buying/selling rates.
- Contribute to, form business decisions and enable follow-up on such decisions including margin improvements.
- Implementation of upstream process improvements in line with the Standards and Controls
- Ensure finance governance in new and existing customer onboarding/implementation
- Constantly engage with the business partners in listening & understanding their requirements and ensure that they are met.
- Own and drive improvement projects, collaborate with other Business Controllers in executing projects of global nature, drive a culture of continuous improvement.
What we're looking for:
- A professional with accounting/finance degree and working experience in accounting
- Basic knowledge of Reporting concepts internally and externally
- Problem solving
- Must be good in Microsoft Excel, power BI would be an added advantage
- Must be good with communication skills, particularly in English
- Working experience in SAP & BI, would be an added advantage
- Experience in logistics business would be an added advantage.

- Able to combine commercial knowledge and technical financial expertise
- Ability to work as part of a large multinational organisation, capable of influencing and understanding global view

- Dynamic in nature and be prepared for robust changes happening in accounting and reporting department, be flexible to move roles
