Job Description

As a Warehouse System Specialist at Maersk, you'll be a key member of the internal support team, acting as an SME for operations processes and systems. Responsibilities include supporting new customer onboardings and system implementations, driving process standardization, and contributing to digital transformation. You'll also handle project management, technical writing, continuous improvement initiatives, tool optimization, reporting, customer support and training, issue management, and system configuration (WMS Level 1 & 2). The role requires proficiency in WMS software and strong communication skills, working collaboratively across multiple departments to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation and Transformation

  • Support and drive the implementation of new customers and systems.
  • Contribute to digital transformation efforts and help develop new initiatives.

Process Improvement and Documentation

  • Document and support the implementation of business processes.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance.

Tool Optimization and Reporting

  • Evaluate the use of tools to maximize return on investment.
  • Develop reporting tools and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide visibility into business trends.

Customer Support and Training

  • Respond to customer requests.
  • Provide training on systems and processes.

Technical Writing and Configuration

  • Create technical documents, including business requirement documents, standard operating procedures, and process maps.
  • Perform system configurations, including Level 1 and 2 Warehouse Management System (WMS) configurations.

Issue Management and Communication

  • Manage, communicate, and resolve operational, process, and system issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Project Management

  • Develop and execute project plans that involve multiple departments.
  • Establish measurable goals and objectives for projects and initiatives.
  • Track progress and provide updates throughout projects and initiatives.

Who we are looking for

  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to rapidly acquire new skills and adapt to new systems or software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to approach situations with empathy, tact, and discretion.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and diplomacy in interactions with others.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work effectively under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and organized individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in Spanish and ability to communicate effectively in English at a business level.
  • Proactivity and proven ability to analyze and resolve complex operational and systemic challenges.
