Summary

As an Automation Technician III at Axon, you will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment. This includes troubleshooting malfunctions, determining corrective actions, and collaborating with manufacturing engineers. You'll manage work orders within the CMMS, maintain inventory levels, and participate in process reviews. Experience with automated assembly equipment and high-volume systems is preferred. Strong mechanical and pneumatic knowledge is essential, along with the ability to read schematics and drawings. The role involves close collaboration with manufacturing leads and supervisors to ensure optimal equipment performance and uptime.

Your Impact

As Axon's Automation Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance on production equipment. You will gain in-depth product knowledge and maintain high equipment performance and uptime. You will also be responsible for a diverse mixture of activities with a strong emphasis on interacting with automated production machines.

What You'll Do

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona

Reports to: Manager, Automation Support

  • Maintain equipment to support Axon manufacturing operations
  • Communicate relevant equipment status to associated manufacturing line leads and supervisors
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, determine corrective actions and communicate with Manufacturing Engineers to resolve issues
  • Complete assigned and ad-hoc work orders in Axon's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Transact parts within Axon's CMMS to maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Participate in process reviews for products as required
  • Engage in problem solving & brainstorming, both individually and as part of the Axon team
  • Follow Axon's Environmental Health and Safety guidelines

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate
  • Strong mechanical and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technician working with complex equipment
  • Experience working with automated assembly equipment is preferred
  • Experience working with high volume automated systems is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Basic computer skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to expand your professional knowledge

The pay: Axon’s hourly pay philosophy is made up of base pay and bonus. The starting hourly pay for this role is USD 21.15 in the lowest geographic market and USD 31.73 in the highest geographic market. The actual hourly pay is dependent upon many factors such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
