The Auto Sheet Metal Technician is responsible for repairing and replacing damaged vehicle parts, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets or exceeds factory standards. Responsibilities include disassembling vehicles, performing frame straightening and repairs according to factory specifications, removing and installing body parts, sanding and preparing surfaces for painting, and performing final alignments and adjustments. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience working with aluminum vehicles in an OEM 4S auto body shop, demonstrating mastery of sheet metal repair techniques and a commitment to delivering the highest quality work. Additional responsibilities involve working with various tools, maintaining a positive work attitude, and collaborating effectively within a team. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Global travel may be required for training and to assist other Tesla locations.
