FX seeks an Assistant to support three VPs of Publicity. Responsibilities include answering phones, organizing meetings, managing schedules and records, arranging travel, processing expense reports, providing general departmental support (couriering, organization, press mailers, booking rooms, status reports, escorting talent), distributing press materials, drafting itineraries, proofreading, sending programming alerts, updating fact sheets, assisting with clip selections, creating status reports, tracking press breaks, maintaining media lists, managing event press RSVPs and guest check-in. The role requires strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The position is currently located in Century City, with an expected move to Burbank by the end of 2025.

Job Summary:

FX is seeking an Assistant to provide administrative support to the three VPs of Publicity and general support for the department. 

Please note that this role is currently located in the Century City offices. The team is expected to transfer to Burbank by end of 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, organize meetings, maintain schedules and records, make travel arrangements and process expense reports for Vice Presidents.
  • Provide support for the department as needed, including couriering/overnighting packages, keeping department organized, organize press mailers, booking meeting rooms, maintaining status reports, and escorting talent at events.
  • Assist with the distribution of press materials, draft itineraries, proof press materials, send programming alerts, update fact sheets, assist in clip selections for talent appearances on talk shows, create and maintain status reports, track press breaks and help maintain master media list of television reporters.
  • Work all FX events, organizing press RSVPs and guest check-in.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of administrative experience in entertainment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe is a must, and a strong grasp of social media is a plus.
  • Strong verbal communication and excellent interpersonal skills needed. Must be able to work well under pressure and tactfully with various personalities.
  • Must be motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, personable, reliable, self-assured, and able to prioritize work with minimal direction.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and prioritization skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with senior executives, media personnel, talent, and their representatives.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field or equivalent work experience.


The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $53,300 - $71,300 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
