Requirements:

    • Approximately 8+ years of relevant experience.
    • Experience  and strong knowledge in Unreal Engine 5 and good understanding of its production capacities, features and tools.
    • Released commercial projects.
    • A broad understanding of visual tools and methods in game development.
    • Management and control of various teams of artists. Team management skills.
    • Strong understanding of art pipelines and workflows used to produce the mobile, desktop, console high-end graphics and next-gen visuals.
    • Collaboration with art team members and provide constructive feedback towards shared goals.
    • Contribute to rapid and early visualization efforts.
    • Promote a positive and open environment that supports good team and studio
      morale.
    • Partner with art management on hiring plans and recruitment processes.
    • Drive and represent various art discipline in cross-disciplinary visual
    • development and pitches.
    • Evaluate and provide feedback on internal and external artwork to maintain
      quality standards.
    • Mentor, coach, and provide constructive critique to team members.
    • Plan and manage deliverables, including scoping, timing, and cost estimation.
    • Develop technical documentation to support visual direction.
    • Advanced or at least Upper Intermediate English.
    • Passion for games and game industry.

Main task pool:

  • Lead, mentor, supervise and inspire the art team to create top games. The market is always changing and we must achieve inspiring experiences that can wow our players.
  • Provide feedback to the artists, with a focus on artistic execution and technical specifications.
  • Maintain a well working and healthy team.
  • Convey and champion the art direction to marketing and external partners.
  • Compile or produce reference material that guides the artists in their work.
  • Make presentations regarding art direction, process, goals and results.
  • Take part in creating plans for staffing, tasks, timelines and budgets.
  • Provide feedback to artists and external partners. This can be verbal or written, but visual sketches, paint-overs or mock-ups are even better.
  • Review the in-game experience together with other directors, art leads and producers.
  • Interview and recruit future art team members and report detailed hiring needs to recruiting.
