Project description

Our client is seeking an Investment Data professional to join their investment data Analyst team. The team is responsible for improved Investment Data Management (IDM) capabilities that will provide high quality trustworthy investment data that is complete, accurate, timely, accessible, and available when required.

Responsibilities

BAU Activities:

Perform daily monitoring of exceptions, and proactively follow up with IDM partners and/or stakeholders per the agreed exception management process.

Ensure that processes, controls, and procedure documentation are updated as change is delivered.

Proactively identify opportunities to develop new controls or DQs or enhance existing ones to ensure accurate and timely data delivery to our downstream stakeholders, and catalogue the controls as per the Agency's Data Governance framework.

Support in managing the pipeline of IDM change activity as it relates to delivering to the Agency and pillar priorities.

Assist in writing business requirements as needed, and assist developers, testers and delivery teams in ensuring business requirements are understood and delivery timeframes are coordinated.

Assist testers in the planning and execution of testing activities (including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)).

Assist delivery teams in ensuring that release scope and delivery timeframes are adequately synchronised with business / stakeholder objectives.

Ensure new development is managed in accordance with the Data Governance parameters and ensure all documentation (business glossaries, data dictionaries, lineage, etc.) are updated when new change is delivered.

Assist in ensuring new development and change contributing to the initiatives within the Unlisted Assets and ESG pillar is operationally ready for the IDM Private Markets & ESG team to manage. Perform post implementation testing to ensure change and new capabilities are operating as expected.

Business Analysis:

Support the end-to-end delivery of new capabilities and services ensuring they are fit for purpose for the IDM Private Markets & ESG team and wider Agency.

Understand the project objectives and requirements to ensure the right context is applied to all activities.

Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to workshop, capture and document the Agency's investment data requirements.

Assist Business Leads and SMEs to understand project plans, milestones and project activities and act as an advocate for their requirements.

Assess and communicate business impact and contribute to documentation to support change readiness and transition to BAU where appropriate.

Assist Project Managers and Project Leads in the tracking of project activities and in the resolution of project risks and issues.

Facilitate effective communication within the team, across the project teams, and between cross-functional business groups.

Assist the relevant resources to document business processes, artefacts and other project deliverables.

Champion a focus on high quality outcomes and exceptional stakeholder experiences.

Support in strategising with internal stakeholders to transform general ideas into workable solutions.

Recognise promising ideas and find ways to introduce them into the Agency's future planning and discard ideas that are ineffective, costly, or beyond the scope of the Agency's mission or abilities to develop.

Anticipate stakeholder needs and understand how other Agency business plans can be supported through existing and new IDM capabilities.

Partner and Vendor Management:

Support the oversight of partner delivery of new change.

Support the IDM Relationship Manager and Product Owners to monitor partner products and services to ensure that they are being delivered in line with IDM solutioning parameters.

Support the prioritisation, project management and product management of data and data service requests with IDM partners.

Qualifications

Be a qualified professional with demonstrated relevant experience

Knowledge and Experience

Demonstrated experience in the financial services industry, particularly in private markets data including private equity, unlisted and listed property and infrastructure, and other alternative investments

Strong knowledge and interest in mathematics and data analysis

Strong understanding of data management and the data lifecycle

Experience working with market data vendors and tools

Some project experience performing business analysis responsibilities

Working knowledge of contemporary business analysis methodologies, practices, techniques and tools

Practical understanding of project delivery lifecycles, methodologies and governance practices

Proven ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, including executives, managers, SMEs, outsourced partners and consultants
