Job Description

As an AI Build Engineer at Rackspace, you'll be part of a small team building AI platforms using AWS technologies. Responsibilities include developing initial AI platforms, building solutions into marketable products, finalizing alpha products, creating demonstrable solutions, and working with high-level objectives. You'll need to be agile, switch priorities quickly, and work both independently and as part of a team. The role involves bringing new AI-compliant cloud products to market for Rackspace and RGS. This is a remote position, requiring 7+ years of software and AWS cloud engineering experience.

Must have:

7+ years software & AWS experience
Python, React, NodeJS, AWS
AWS Bedrock, AWS Sagemaker
RAG Applications experience
Team & independent work ability
Fullstack development preferred
OpenAI experience preferred

Job Summary: AI is quickly becoming a rising industry, and Rackspace is on the forefront of it. As our AI Build Engineer, you’ll be part small closely knit team working with AWS technologies. You’ll build out solutions and see them through to marketable products. You’ll truly be working with cutting edge technologies!

Work Location: Remote USA or Remote Canda from these provinces... Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll work with our Product Team focusing on building out initial AI Platforms.
Be part of a small team working with Amazon tech building out solutions and building them out to marketable products.
Finalize the Initial Alpha product.
Build out demonstrable solutions.
Be very agile and be able to switch priorities of multiple projects in short amount of time.
Receive high level objectives and the freedom to devise plans on how to achieve them.
Be a self-sufficient Racker who mostly works independently with strong leadership support.
Go to market with new AI compliant cloud products for Rackspace and RGS.

Qualifications

Minimum of seven years of both software engineering and AWS cloud engineering experience.
Must be familiar and experienced with the following… Python, React, NodeJS, AWS, AWS Bedrock, AWS Sagemaker, RAG Applications.
Ability to work both part of a team and independently.
Fullstack development experience is preferred.
Experience with Open AI is preferred.

· The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $96,800 - $142,010.

· The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $103,100 - $151,140.

· The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $112,900 - $165,550.

Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
