Job Description

The Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions (GCS) works with businesses to optimize their Google Ads campaigns. Responsibilities include delivering ambitious growth goals, building client relationships through consultations and sales pitches, owning a portfolio of small businesses, understanding growth drivers and risks, creating quarterly plans, and driving customer growth by exceeding expectations and achieving client objectives. This role requires strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills, as well as a deep understanding of online advertising and Google Ads. The ideal candidate will possess experience in advertising, sales, business development, or marketing, and a proven ability to overachieve quotas.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Google Ads & online advertising familiarity
  • Excellent communication & relationship-building skills
  • Ability to deliver ambitious growth goals
  • Proven ability to overachieve quotas
Good to have:
  • Google Digital Workshop Certification
  • Experience in UK advertising/media sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Google Digital Workshop.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads and online advertising.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in the United Kingdom, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and sales pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
