About the job
As a 2D Concept Artist at Youtooz, you will take the Youtooz world and bring it to life. You’ll be responsible for taking an idea and turning it into a Youtooz product all the way from ideation to a finished design. This role is a two month temporary contract position to cover a parental leave, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our creative team during this period.
Responsibilities
- Take an idea and turn it into a completed 2D concept
- Meet design deadlines
- 2+ years of experience in concept art, character design, or a related field
- Degree in 2D animation, character design, concept art or a related discipline
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to quickly create and execute concepts
- Knowledge of 2D programs such as Photoshop, ProCreate, Sketchbook, or other drawing software
- Knowledge of 2D practices such as creating silhouettes, proportions, anatomy, expression, and any other concept related practice
- Motivated team player that can work quickly in a deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of the pantone library
- 3D modelling experience or any related work such as 3D printing
- Traditional experience, painting, sculpting, or drawing.
