Job description

G5 Games is a game developer and publisher headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. We have over 850+ talented professionals worldwide who work remotely or in one of our 10 locations. More than 20 years ago, the company became one of the first mobile game developers in the world. 

You may know us from hit projects like Sherlock, Hidden City®, Mahjong Journey®, The Secret Society®, the Jewels series, and many others. 

We are currently looking for an experienced 2D Character Artist_remote to join one of our picturesque realism project and will work on creation of characters.  

What you will work on:

  • Create characters and everything related to them: the creation of thematic skins, emotions and poses for dialogues, cutting for animation;
  • Work in a team and collaborate with outsourcers;
  • Work in picturesque realism style.

It’s important to us:

  • Gaming development experience (at least 3 years);

Extensive knowledge necessary to work within the specialty:

  • Knowledge of anatomy;
  • Familiarity with the history and design of costume;
  • Ability to draw emotions;

 Mastery of basic artistic disciplines and tools:

  • Understanding of the color and light rules;
  • Understanding of linear and aerial perspective;
  • Understanding of proportions;
  • Understanding of the composition rules;
  • General visual art skills: lighting, form, conveying the characteristics of materials, etc.;
  • Professional Photoshop skills;
  • Russian language - at least Upper-Intermediate.

Would be a great bonus:

  • Basic 3D knowledge.
