Data Analytics & Science Internship

Player Profile

  • Pursuing an associates, bachelors, masters, or PhD and graduating December 2025 – July 2026
  • Available to participate in a 12-week internship starting in late-May or mid-June
  • Currently residing in the US or open to relocating oneself to the US

Internship Opportunities

All internships will be conducted in-person. Hosting managers will determine when and how often interns work in the office Monday-Friday (relocation services and living stipend provided to all interns).

Potential internship location(s):  Sherman Oaks, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Irvine, CA

Machine Learning (Consumer Technology): Leverage data, game APIs, and creative marketing to build an engaging experience for players outside of the console or PC, working on challenging projects that apply your education and critical thinking abilities to have an impact on business initiatives, working on machine learning models, analyzing KPIs, participating in the design and code review process and partnering with other engineers in a collaborative environment.

  • Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture
  • Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithms
  • Ability to write robust code in Python
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras , PyTorch, Tensorflow) and libraries (like scikit-learn)

Data Science (Franchise Models): Help develop and operationalize machine learning models that impact Game Operations, Marketing, CRM, and Business Planning. Contribute to the goal of understanding and improving consumer/player experiences.

  • Programming proficiency in Python and/or R
  • Knowledge of Spark
  • Knowledge of data systems, relational databases, querying with SQL
  • Experience with engineering tools and methods (github, unit testing, continuous integration, etc.)
  • Experience with machine learning tools (SciKit-Learn, TensorFlow, etc.)
  • Experience building web frontends (Javascript, JQuery, D3.js, React, etc.)

Data Science (Mobile): Be a core component of the most successful Mobile gaming business through analytical excellence. Be part of a business that moves at breakneck speed and delivers the most engaging experiences to our players and fans.

  • Programming expertise in Python and/or R
  • Comfortable working in a Notebook environment (Jupyter, Zeppelin, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data systems, relational databases, querying with SQL  
  • Bonus: Experience with engineering tools and methods (github, unit testing, continuous integration, etc.)  
  • Bonus: Experience with machine learning tools (SciKit-Learn, TensorFlow, etc.)  

Data Analytics (Mobile): Be a core component of the most successful Mobile gaming business by working closely with internal teams across Product, Production, User Acquisition, Development, Design, Leadership, and other decision-makers on our games to deliver critical insights to support strategic business and marketing decisions. 

  • Expertise in querying with SQL
  • Expertise in quantitative methods – finding the truth and narrative in the data
  • Knowledge of data visualization techniques and standard processes
  • Programming expertise in Python and/or R is preferable
  • Bonus: comfortable working in a Notebook environment (Jupyter, Zeppelin, etc.)

Data Analytics Internship: This is an exciting role in our AI team that allows the candidate to interact with multiple teams and senior leaders to build up skills and capabilities. The candidate will learn how to solve interesting problems in a systematic way specifically in ads space for gaming. The team has a diverse team of talents whom love innovation, collaboration, and having fun while doing it. Projects may include life time value evaluation and framework research and crash analysis.

Your Platform

We are looking for talented and innovative students to join our team for the 2025 summer. All interns will receive a meaningful project and an unparalleled experience. We’ll provide the tools and resources you need to learn new skills/technology while you collaborate with some of the best in the gaming industry. The challenging and creative work you do throughout your internship will directly impact the team you are contributing on. In addition to your day-to-day work, you’ll participate in intern exclusive Learning & Development and social events (virtual and in-person).

All internships will be conducted in-person. Hosting managers will determine when and how often interns work in the office. All interns will have the option to opt into relocation services (flights, trains, or car mileage reimbursement). Additionally, all interns will be provided with a living stipend to supplement housing, utility, commuting, and miscellaneous costs.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $20.00 - $50.00 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
