Job Description

As a UX Program Manager at Google, you'll leverage your project management expertise and passion for UX to improve the design of products used by billions. You will plan projects, define milestones, manage risks, create actionable insights, and ensure timely project completion. You'll harmonize the work of various UX disciplines and collaborate with engineering and product management to achieve UX team objectives and create innovative experiences. A key focus will be guiding the execution of AI initiatives within envisioning studios. Responsibilities include facilitating communication between stakeholders, creating detailed project plans, leading meetings, preparing executive briefings, identifying process improvements, and ensuring alignment across teams.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience managing and scaling UX related programs.
  • 10 years of experience driving operational efforts across organizations.
  • Experience managing programs and projects with a focus on user experience and design in a technology-focused environment.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience working with AI technologies or projects.
  • Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and issues.

  • Ability to undertake user-centered design principles and create products and experiences that meet users needs.

As a UX Program Manager (UX Programs & Operations), you will combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help your team improve the design of products that are used by billions of users. You’ll plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure projects meet deadlines. You’ll harmonize the work of UX Designers, Researchers, Content Strategists, UX Engineers, and other UX disciplines, while also working closely with our Engineering and Product Manager cross-functional partners, to drive UX team objectives and create innovative experiences for our business, products, and users.

As a UX Program Manager, you will guide the successful execution of envisioning studio's AI initiatives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate communication and alignment between designers, researchers, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders (including executive leadership) to ensure a unified development process.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and communication strategies for a portfolio of AI-focused initiatives, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and milestones.
  • Lead regular meetings and communication with internal partners to track progress, manage dependencies, resolve issues, and proactively identify potential risks.
  • Prepare briefings, presentations, and communications materials for executives, ensuring they are well-informed about project progress and key milestones.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline team processes, workflows, and tools to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
