Job Description

As a Technical Writer, you will play a key role in helping shape the information experience for Google Cloud products and customers. Responsibilities include planning, developing, publishing, and maintaining documentation and other content offerings for products like Application Integration, Integration Connectors, and Apigee. You will develop empathy for customers, understand their workflows and needs, and translate these into written documentation, videos, interactive tutorials, and community interactions. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and thriving in a fast-paced environment. You'll craft content across various formats, ensuring it's useful and accessible to a technical audience. This involves owning product areas and building relationships to achieve shared goals.

Must have:

4+ years technical content creation experience
2+ years HTML or Markdown experience
Plan, develop, and maintain documentation
Collaborate across cross-functional teams
Empathy for customer needs and workflows

Good to have:

API management experience
Business application/data integration experience
Experience with programming
Ability to create various content types (conceptual, task, troubleshooting, reference)

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience creating technical content for a technical audience.
2 years of experience with HTML or Markdown.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with API management.
Experience with business application, process, or data integration.
Experience planning, writing, and supporting documentation projects for products.
Experience with programming.
Ability to write across a spectrum of content types including conceptual, task, or user-journey oriented, troubleshooting, and reference.

Craft content by translating user needs into written documentation, and through alternative content forms such as video, interactive tutorials, and community interactions.
Own product area, drive valuable collaborations across cross-functional teams, and build relationships to achieve shared goals.
