Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager III at Google Cloud, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects related to platform security New Product Introductions (NPIs) for Production Integrity. You will work with product development and deployment teams, driving new product development and supporting products through production ramp. Responsibilities include managing a diverse portfolio of engineering efforts, monitoring and remediating issues quickly, presenting engineering efforts in internal tooling, communicating progress updates to various audiences, and documenting processes. You will manage risk at all levels and create practices to help engineers and decision-makers manage Google's hardware security risks globally. The role requires strong communication, project management, and technical expertise in infrastructure or platform security.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years program management experience
  • Experience with technical infrastructure or platform security
  • Manage diverse engineering efforts
  • Communicate progress to stakeholders
Good to have:
  • 5+ years managing cross-functional projects
  • Experience in hardware/manufacturing operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with technical infrastructure or platform security.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in multiple aspects of hardware and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in planning, manufacturing operations, logistics, material management and planning, or supply chain design and strategy.
  • Experience in project management of New Product Introductions.
  • Experience communicating project requirements and schedules with stakeholders.

In this role you will be responsible for organizing Google's platform security New Product Introductions (NPIS) for Production Integrity. You will interface with the product development and deployment teams with the responsibility for driving new product development as well as supporting those products through the production ramp. You will monitor, measure, and manage risk at all levels while creating and socializing practices which help engineers and decision makers manage Google's hardware security risks and issues at a global scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of engineering efforts with varying complexity, monitoring and remediating quickly.
  • Manage multiple issues while tracking different engineering efforts.
  • Present engineering efforts in various internal tooling.
  • Communicate progress updates and challenges with a variety of audiences, documenting processes and explaining nuances and challenges to stakeholders.
