IO Interactive seeks a Technical Producer to support their Engineering team on a new fantasy RPG. Responsibilities include aligning tech team objectives with project priorities, long-term technology backlog planning, short-term goal management, workflow optimization, and managing TCR/TRC requirements. The role involves coordinating with external providers, overseeing builds and releases, troubleshooting, and collaborating with other teams (QA, Game Management, developers) to ensure build stability. Experience shipping AAA games (preferably multiplayer online) and strong project management skills are essential. The position offers a hybrid remote work option across multiple studio locations.

We are seeking a Technical Producer who will support the Engineering team on Project Fantasy and play a significant role in day-to-day support of the tech team.

What you will do:

  • Consistently aligning and monitoring the tech team's objectives to ensure full support for project priorities and requirements, in coordination with the project’s Technical Director.
  • Engaging in long-term planning and upkeep of the technology backlog, in collaboration with Engine Team.
  • Managing short-term planning and tracking goals within the tech team, in alignment with the tech team Leads.
  • Identifying workflow enhancements and production optimizations.
  • Monitoring and tracking TCR/TRC requirements, as well as other external technical certification requirements.
  • Coordinating and managing requirements with external middleware providers.
  • Overseeing, coordinating, and validating builds and branches, ensuring they align with game timelines and milestones.
  • Oversee the end-to-end release process, ensuring successful and timely deployment of updates and patches.
  • Engaging with technical details, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating effective communication between production and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with QA, Game Management, and developers to triage issues, conduct risk assessments, and manage changes to ensure the best builds possible.
  • Be the linchpin for build stability across the project, collaborating with internal and external teams.
  • Exercise authority to prioritize and resolve critical bugs promptly, maintaining stable builds.
  • Support QA by helping them maintain visibility and champion processes to help drive stability across the project.

Who you are:

  • Possess 3+ years professional experience as a Technical Producer, Project Manager, Release Manager or in a related role in the Games Industry.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully shipping AAA games, preferably multiplayer online.
  • Profound knowledge of project management methods and software packages.
  • Good understanding of general software development practices.
  • Have a deep understanding of the challenges and requirements associated with the production and release of high-quality, AAA games.
  • Have experience with Configuration Management tools (e.g., Perforce, Git, SubVersion).
  • Familiarity with TRC and XR guidelines.
  • Experience with software defect tracking methods.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Exhibit the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

About The Company

IO Interactive is a 25-year old, AAA independent game studio, creators of HITMAN, Kane & Lynch, Mini Ninjas and Freedom Fighters. We are currently working on Project 007, Project Fantasy, and continue to develop Glacier, our award-winning game engine.
