As a Technical Lead, Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership on high-impact projects, influencing and coaching a distributed team of engineers, facilitating alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines, managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale software solutions. You will work on the Chrome Sync Server, which is a critical component of Google's infrastructure that allows users to sync their data across multiple devices.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development
  • Experience with data structures/algorithms
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects

Minimum qualifications:
