  • 3 years of experience performing copy and developmental edits for product documentation, online publishing, or technical blogging.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, support multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to write/edit samples and be adaptable to Google style.
  • Excellent communications and teamwork skills.

About the job

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and improve content and help define the information architecture for Google Cloud Serverless and other new products in development. In this role, you will be working with other Technical Writers, Developer Relations Engineers, and Program/Product Managers, you will advocate for and prioritize users needs, and help define, refine, and execute on plans for the content across products and or strategic initiatives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of technical writers to edit, publish, and maintain high-quality documentation and online content, including overview/concept documentation, and how-to guides.
  • Consult with writers on developmental editing, content strategy, information architecture.
  • Consult on documentation maintenance projects, terminology, and branding decisions.
  • Train new writers on Google style guides and processes, and partner teams on documentation processes and style guides.
