The Strategic Agency Manager at Google Customer Solutions builds strategic partnerships with investors, delivers on ambitious growth objectives, and manages a portfolio of investors. Responsibilities include developing annual joint business plans, driving scalable marketing initiatives, identifying advertising growth opportunities, and managing risks. The role requires influencing senior stakeholders across various functions (Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing) both internally and externally. Collaboration with Google internal counterparts on cross-Google partnership opportunities is also crucial to provide a cohesive experience to investors and their portfolio customers. The ideal candidate possesses significant experience in partner management, business development, or sales within the technology industry, along with a strong understanding of investor business models and digital advertising campaigns.
Must have:
  • 7+ years experience in Partner Management/Sales
  • C-level executive interaction
  • Managing agreements/partnerships
  • Startup/VC/PE firm experience
  • Delivering against ambitious growth objectives
Good to have:
  • Master's degree
  • Experience assessing investor success via sales techniques
  • Managing digital advertising campaigns
  • Knowledge of investor business models
  • Leading multiple projects simultaneously

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in Partner Management, Business Development, Sales, or Channel Development in the technology industry.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience working with startups or venture capital/private equity firms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving investor success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, compelling narratives, storytelling and competitive selling.
  • Experience in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on both performance and brand marketing.
  • Knowledge of investor business models (venture capital and private equity), startup development, and growth opportunities.
  • Knowledge of traditional vs. online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Build strategic partnerships and develop annual joint business plans with investors.
  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly milestones and growth objectives, grow investor business by driving scalable marketing initiatives and growth across a wide range of portfolio customers.
  • Own a portfolio of investors by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for advertising growth, managing risks and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Influence various levels of senior stakeholder (e.g., General Partners, Vice Presidents, C-level executives) representing diverse functions within the organization, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, within both internal and external ecosystems to grow new and existing business consistently, while prioritizing and delivering outstanding sales experiences.
  • Collaborate with Google internal counterparts on cross-Google partnership opportunities, align on strategic priorities with Google Customer Solutions to provide a cohesive experience to our investors and their portfolio customers.
