This role is based in San Francisco or New York and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.
About the Role
This iOS position on our mobile platform team will provide the opportunity to work on some of the most critical components, tooling, and underlying infrastructure supporting Patreon’s iOS application. Additionally, as an engineering leader, you will contribute to the mentoring and training as well as reviewing software designs and code for our iOS engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Collaboration with Product Teams: Collaborate with the product teams at Patreon to understand their requirements and ensure they have the infrastructure they need to be successful and keep the application well-structured.
Technical Expertise: Leverage your technical expertise and experience to identify problems and fix them before they become major hurdles to developers’ productivity or production incidents.
Improve Performance & Reliability: Collect and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations to enhance the overall performance and reliability of the application.
About You
7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Proficiency with the Swift programming language.
Familiarity with the iOS AVFoundation framework is a plus.
A track record of scaling, improving quality, and increasing reliability of iOS applications.
Strong understanding of optimization and performance issues on iOS.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
