Job Description

As an SRE Group Manager at Playtika, you'll be responsible for maintaining and automating Playtika's game infrastructure. This includes identifying automation opportunities, implementing platform engineering practices, designing and maintaining automation frameworks, and leading problem management investigations. You will also oversee change and release management, define team KPIs, assess and mitigate risks (including security), and collaborate with external vendors. The role demands strong leadership skills to guide a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and enhancing system reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Experience in IT or R&D management and a deep understanding of IT infrastructure components are crucial.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for Playtika games infrastructure maintenance and automation
  • Constantly look for automation opportunities withing infrastructure platform
  • Implement platform engineering practices cross company
  • Design, implement and maintain automation frameworks to simplify operational tasks and eliminate toil
  • Problem Management: lead investigations, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with other teams to implement preventive measures and long-term solutions
  • Change and Release Management: ensure that changes to IT systems and infrastructure are implemented in a controlled and structured manner, minimizing risks and potential disruptions
  • Define team KPIs and objectives, aligning individual contributions to broader organizational goals
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: identify potential risks to the IT infrastructure and develop strategies to mitigate them. Includes security vulnerabilities evaluation, implementing disaster recovery plans, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Cooperation with external vendors: ensure vendors meet the company's reliability requirements and get in touch with external companies to resolve issues or implement improvements
  • Team Management and Leadership: lead a team of IT professionals responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of IT systems. Includes guidance, support, and mentorship to team leads and team members, foster a collaborative work environment, and ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity
  • Continuous Improvement: as a group manager, you'll be driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of IT systems, which includes industry best practices in IT systems reliability

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of progressive experience in IT management or 5+ years in R&D management
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure components, such as networks, servers, storage systems, databases, and cloud computing
  • Proven leadership and management skills. 2+ years on a position of Team Leader or higher
  • Project management skills
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Incident and Change Management Expertise
  • Continuous Learning and Adaptability: adaptable, open to change, and able to quickly learn and apply new skills and knowledge
  • Understanding the company's business objectives and align IT strategies with the overall business goals
