Atomic Arcade is a brand-new video game development studio located in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area led by industry veterans from AAA game and film studios. We are in the process of staffing up our development team with outstanding talent to build our first multi-platform, AAA game - a bold and contemporary new take on the GI JOE Universe starring the legendary character Snake Eyes! This is an excellent opportunity to not only build an outstanding AAA experience but to also help form the core foundations for the studio and team to build upon. We are seeking a Senior UI Engineer with a passion for systems that drive outstanding user experience in video games. The ideal candidate is an experienced programmer with deep knowledge of building UI in Unreal Engine.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Architect, develop, and maintain core UI systems using Unreal Engine 5
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and artists to bring the game experience to a AAA level
  • Provide consultation on UI systems as a top level specialist
  • Author documentation that communicates quality workflows and technical constraints to content creation and engineering team members
  • Write clear, performant, maintainable, and portable code

 

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years experience developing AAA titles
  • A strong focus on quality and building scalable solutions to serve our UX team
  • Initiative to push boundaries to build something outstanding
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience multi-tasking and adapting easily to change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and team-oriented
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated, with ability to work independently
  • Passion for making and playing games

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $117,500
  • Pay Range End: $223,900
