Summary

The Senior Accounting Manager will manage various accounting functions (allocations, AR, revenue recognition, consolidations), assist in annual audits, prepare and review financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance, and help document accounting policies and internal controls. This hands-on role requires advanced accounting knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in progressively complex accounting roles, including at least 2 years as an Accounting Manager, preferably in a high-growth private company (technology or video game industry preferred).

Description

THE ROLE:   
    
We are looking for a seasoned, highly motivated Senior Accounting Manager with strong business acumen and accounting skills to join our team! This is a 'roll up your sleeves; hands-on position, requiring technical skill and business insight to join a focused team reporting to Corporate Controller and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.    
    
WHO YOU ARE:       
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of advanced accounting principles, accounting systems, internal controls, and financial reporting processes.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to both accountants and non-accountants.
  • You thrive in situations of ambiguity and are eager to roll up your sleeves and find practical solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:       
  • Manage multiple day-to-day functions within the accounting department, including allocations, AR, revenue recognition, and consolidations.
  • Assist with annual consolidated financial statement audit, collaborating with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful completion.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Assist with documentation of accounting policies, key processes, and internal controls.
QUALIFICATIONS:        
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least six years of experience in progressively more complex accounting or financial reporting roles, including at least two years at an Accounting Manager or equivalent level.
  • High-growth private company experience is highly valued, particularly in the technology or video game industry.
  • Have demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and can work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 
PREFERRED SKILLS:        
  • Systems-focused and experienced with the use and implementation of various technology solutions, from ERP implementations to advanced Excel report generation.

Eligibility to participate in these benefits may vary for part-time and temporary full-time employees and interns with the Company.    
Compensation:    
  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
  • The full salary range for this position is $136,000 - $206,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay and internal equity.
  • In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
