Job Description

As a Software Engineer on the Google Pixel team, you'll build and test innovative mobile experiences. Collaborating with UX designers and product managers, you'll be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions, exploring new user interaction paradigms, and integrating real-world signals and data into meaningful user experiences. The role requires expertise in software development (Kotlin/Java), data structures, and algorithms, with a focus on delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2 years software development experience (Kotlin/Java)
2 years experience with data structures/algorithms
Build and test novel ideas
Work with multidisciplinary UX team

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in Computer Science
Experience with accessible technologies
Android development experience
Creative coding and digital design experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.(e.g. kotlin, Java)
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Experience in Android Mobile operating system.
Experience in Creative Coding and Digital Design.

Responsibilities

Build and test novel ideas and iterate.
Work with a multidisciplinary UX team and Product Managers through the entire lifecycle of our products and features.
Test, ideate new user interaction paradigms, and test them out.
Explore how to connect real world signals, app data, APIs, and contexts to meaningful user experiences.
