Job Description

Google is looking for a Software Engineer III to join their team in Stockholm, Sweden. The role involves contributing to existing documentation and adapting content based on product/program updates and user feedback, debugging and resolving system issues, developing infrastructure for Meet's cloud-side audio and video processing, partnering with feature and quality teams to support new functionality, and supporting running Meet media servers in production.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2 years of experience with software development in C++ or 1 year with an advanced degree
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms
2 years of experience with Audio/video processing, server development, web/mobile application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems

Good to have:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields
2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging
Experience in software development using a general purpose programming language (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, JavaScript)
Experience in machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, or similar
Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in C++, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
2 years of experience with one or more of the following: Audio/video processing, server development; web/mobile application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
Experience in software development using a general purpose programming language (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, JavaScript).
Experience in machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, or similar.
Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

Responsibilities

Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Develop infrastructure that support Meet's need for cloud-side audio and video processing.
Partner with feature and quality teams to support and incorporate new functionality.
Support running Meet media servers in production.
