Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer - Azure Core, you will work closely with our Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Program Managers and DevOps Engineers to understand the business requirements and challenges, and to deliver a system that meets the expectations and needs of our first- and third-party customers. You will also collaborate with other partners and stakeholders to ensure that the dependencies are identified and built, observability is implemented, and tooling & automation are made available to support Operations.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  
  • OR equivalent experience.
• You must be legally authorised to work in Romania to be eligible for this role. (Legally authorised = has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit).
• Experience with system design, algorithmic skills, good knowledge of data structures​.
• Solid debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience designing, building and running large scale and highly available cloud services or distributed systems.
• Engineering expertise in developing and owning services.
• High-availability, automation, performance and building highly available distributed systems at scale​.
• Practice of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and releasing.
