Job Summary
The HP Workforce Experience Platform is an AI-powered digital employee experience solution that can help monitor, optimize, and act on every employee digital touchpoint.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated UI engineer to work in HP Workforce Solutions organization. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining advanced user interfaces for our software applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create visually appealing, intuitive, and high-performance UI solutions that meet the evolving needs of our users. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering exceptional user experiences and driving business success.
Preferred Location: Houston, TX. Remote work from anywhere in the United States is also considered.
Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis both now and in the future without requiring visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
Architect and design complex UI systems and components, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define UI requirements and technical solutions.
Develop and maintain highly efficient and responsive UIs using modern frameworks and libraries (primarily in React JS).
Optimize UI performance and responsiveness for large-scale applications.
Demonstrate deep expertise in UI development frameworks, libraries, and patterns.
Analyze user feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to ensure alignment with product vision and customer needs.
Lead UI development projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
Stay up to date with the latest UI frameworks, libraries, and patterns to drive innovation and improve product quality.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them in best practices and emerging technologies.
* This job will require 80-90% hands on coding, debugging, testing and 10-20% project co-ordination with offshore and local teams.
Education & Experience Recommended
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
4-6 years of experience in UI development, with 1-2 years of experience in a senior role.
Proven track record of designing and developing complex UI solutions.
Preferred Certifications
UI development-related certifications (e.g., React Certified Developer)
Knowledge & Skills
Advanced proficiency in UI development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
Experience with modern web development tools and practices (e.g., Jira, DevOps, version control, build tools, testing frameworks).
Experience with performance optimization and scalability techniques for UI-intensive applications.
You can learn existing code quickly, debug and build new features on top.
You can create quick prototypes and very high-quality products at the same time.
Bonus if you have experience with AWS Technologies like Cloud-front, S3, EKS, Kubernetes.
Bonus if you have worked in a team of 5+ size.
You're great at coordinating with a variety of teams throughout the company
You excel in undefined environments and get excited about finding and building solutions to complex technical problems
You enjoy coming up with pragmatic solutions to concrete problems
You love to collaborate with others.
The base pay range for this role is $104,800 to $158,250 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
