Job Description

Google seeks a Software Developer III, Front End, for their Google Workspace team. Responsibilities include writing product/system code, participating in design reviews, code review, contributing to documentation, issue triage and debugging. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of front-end framework, full-stack development, or API development experience, along with data structure and algorithm proficiency. Experience with large-scale systems, data analysis, and accessibility is preferred. The role involves managing project priorities and enhancing software solutions to improve user experience on Google's web platforms.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2+ years front-end framework experience
2+ years data structures/algorithms experience
Code development, review, and debugging
Contribute to documentation

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in Computer Science
Experience with large-scale systems
Experience developing accessible technologies
Performance analysis and debugging skills

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
2 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, and/or API development.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
