Job Description

As a Data Analyst - Deals & GV at Paytm, you will evangelize the value of analytics for informed business decisions. Responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data from various sources; performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns; developing and maintaining dashboards and reports; utilizing statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms; and collaborating with product and business teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions. You will provide data-driven insights to understand and solve lending business nuances, contributing to improved average revenue per user by increasing cross-sell opportunities.

Must have:

Proficiency in SQL and BigQuery
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with data visualization tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in related field

Good to have:

Master's degree
Experience with machine learning algorithms

About Us:

Paytm is India’s leading digital payments and financial services company, which is focused on driving consumers and merchants to its platform by offering them a variety of payment use cases. To merchants, Paytm offers acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR and Payment Gateway where payment aggregation is done through PPI and also other banks’ financial instruments. Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners.

About the role: Evangelize and demonstrate value and impact of analytics for informed business decision making by developing and deploying analytical solutions and providing data driven

insights to business stakeholders to understand and solve for various lending business nuances.

Expectations/ Requirements:

1. Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.

2. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

3. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.

4. Utilize statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract valuable insights and predict future outcomes.

5. Collaborate with product and business teams to understand business requirements andtranslate them into analytical solutions.

Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role:

1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Master degree preferred.

2. Proficiency in SQL and Big Query for data extraction and manipulation.

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

4. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker

5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

6. Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and data integrity.
