(Senior) 3D Environment Artist - 12 month contract

We are Media Molecule, a multi-award winning game developer and a proud member of the PlayStation Studios family. We have a history of creating revolutionary games such as LittleBigPlanet, Tearaway and most recently, the BAFTA Award winning Dreams. It’s a fantastic time to join us as we embark on our next adventure, defining and executing the vision for our next ambitious project and settling into our spectacular, newly refurbished studio in central Guildford. We are now searching for an exceptional (Senior) Artist to join us!

As a (Senior) 3D Environment Artist you'll be working with a world class team of artists to bring our game levels to the highest quality, under guidance by our Art Director. You will need to have a good eye, and not only for detail, but also for composition and an understanding of real-world architecture. Come and work with a great pool of talent in an equally great city.

This is a hybrid role and will require the successful applicant to work at least one day a week at our studio in Guildford.

Requirements
We want to hear from you if:

  • You've worked on (and completed) two or more 3D games
  • You have affinity for stylised architectural as well as stylised natural environments
  • You have excellent artistic skills and the ability to adapt to different artistic styles
  • You're adept at modelling, shading and texturing in Blender
  • You have solid knowledge of the technical aspects of level building, and have constructed levels from start to completion
  • You're articulate, have strong written and verbal communication skills

Plusses

  • We especially want to hear from you if:
  • You have extensive experience with Adobe Substance and deep knowledge of relevant pipelines and workflows
  • You have a shipped triple-A title under your belt
  • You have experience with multiple game engines
  • You have experience with developing for the PlayStation 5
