Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience working in a hardware or silicon engineering lab, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in the configuration of network switches (e.g., Arista).
  • Experience with electrical systems, test equipment, and lab management and maintenance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
  • RHCE or CCNA certification.
  • 5 years of experience working in an Engineering laboratory environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams on bring-up tasks such as hardware assembly, programming with hardware tools, and firmware updates.
  • Experience managing and organizing lab inventory of highly used consumables by lab users.
  • Experience maintaining an organized, clean and safe operating lab.

As a Silicon Hardware Lab Manager, you will work with a team of hardware test engineers who are responsible for prototype bring-up, validation, and qualification of server, networking, and optical platforms. You will also be responsible for liaison between engineering design and test teams to ensure lab resources are accounted for and that we are ‘lab-ready’ for new products entering the research and development labs as well as supporting sustaining and debug efforts. In addition, you will ensure the labs are well organized and operating in a safe working environment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
