Description

Allied Machine & Engineering, headquartered in Dover, Ohio, is a leading manufacturer of holemaking and finishing cutting tool systems. Our tooling solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in a wide range of applications.

The shipping associate will manage inventory, package items for shipment, and ensure accuracy through software systems while contributing to departmental efficiency.

Shift: Monday through Friday
Hours: 10:00am - 6:30pm
Location: 485 W 3rd St. Dover, OH

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform inventory-related tasks, including item selection and quantity management, as well as inventory replenishment.
  • Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring compliance with inventory standards and coordination with relevant departments.
  • Utilize various software systems to confirm the accuracy of packages before they are shipped to customers.
  • Conduct checks to verify item counts and apply appropriate labels.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of packing materials to support daily operations.
  • Comply with tool kit policies and keep the necessary tools in good condition.
  • Rotate through various responsibilities within the department as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to inventory and confirmation software, collaborating with support groups for resolution.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to count accurately.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 32lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time.
