We are a dynamic team at the forefront of application orchestration, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) to empower developers and streamline deployment workflows. We are passionate about building a robust and scalable platform that accelerates innovation and enables seamless management of containerized applications, no matter the underlying infrastructure or orchestration solution.

About the Role:
As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product strategy and roadmap for our expansive application orchestration platform. This platform encompasses not just EKS but also other container orchestration solutions across diverse server and serverless environments. You will be the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on product vision, requirements, and delivery.

How will you contribute?

    • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for application orchestration, encompassing EKS, EKS Anywhere, and other relevant container orchestration solutions.
    • Requirements Gathering and Prioritization: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, translating business needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team, ensuring that product solutions are aligned with architectural standards and best practices.
    • Stakeholder Management: Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including developers, operations teams, and business leaders, to communicate product updates, gather feedback, and manage expectations.
    • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the application orchestration space, with particular attention to AI-powered solutions.
    • Product Adoption and Success: Drive adoption of the application orchestration platform, monitor key metrics, and iterate on the product to ensure customer success.

What will you bring?

    • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Kubernetes, containerization technologies, and cloud-native application development. Experience with EKS, EKS Anywhere, or other managed Kubernetes services is a plus. Familiarity with AI/ML applications in the context of orchestration is highly beneficial. Relevant experience with networking concepts and technologies is also ideal.
    • Product Management: Proven track record of successfully managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
    • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
    • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, driving consensus and alignment on product goals.
    • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape relevant to Smarsh's business.
