Job Description

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the goal, strategy, and roadmap for the Regulated Cloud Platform Services organization. You will align technical strategy across multiple cross-functional and cross-product teams and build large-scale control and data platforms to support regulated cloud use-cases for Google Cloud Security. You will lead and mentor a virtual team of tech leads across the organization to transform the technical aim into reality. You will also contribute to the overall health of the team and the broader organization, building inclusive teams and a culture where everyone can grow.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in software development
Experience with data structures/algorithms
5 years of experience with design and architecture
Experience with testing/launching software products

Good to have:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams
Experience setting technical direction
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
