Client Overview:

Our client is the leading retail chain in Uzbekistan, with about a million regular customers and more than 125 stores in 11 regions. The company operates supermarkets, neighborhood stores, convenience stores, a wholesale store, and an online supermarket. The client also runs two warehouses (dry and temperature-controlled) and a fruits/vegetables hub.

Project Objectives:

The client wants to modernize and extend  DWH solution based on SAP BW and deploy a robust, flexible, and scalable analytical cloud platform based on the cutting edge non-SAP technology stack. This project will enhance data quality and governance practices and support significant company growth, laying the groundwork for advanced AI/ML solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Solution development and integration of BW with non-SAP SaaS DWH platform
• Development of ODP interfaces for integration of BW with other systems
• Adoption and implementation of ETL process for effective data ingestion and transformation.
• Development of data staging rules for BW system
• Adaptation of the existing BW data model
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Collaborate with BI teams to deliver advanced reporting and analytics solutions.
• Provide expertise in SAP data structures, helping bridge the gap between SAP and non-SAP SaaS environments.
• Adopt and develop  queries, reports, and dashboards to meet business reporting needs.
• Optimize performance of SAP BW applications and reports.
• Provide support and maintenance for existing SAP BW applications and address issues as they arise.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and solutions to ensure comprehensive knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as an SAP BW Developer, with hands-on experience in SAP BW/4HANA.

Certification in SAP BW/4HANA Strong knowledge of SAP BW and HANA data modeling, concepts and architecture.

• Proficiency in developing and optimizing ETL processes in SAP BW.
• Strong skills in creating and optimizing BEx queries, reports, and dashboards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Previous experience in the retail sector.

Proficiency in SQL and ABAP

• Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with other SAP modules and integration with SAP BW.
• Familiarity with Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks).
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and integration within data warehousing solutions.
