Senior Product Marketing Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a driven product marketer who has a passion for identifying the intersection of customer pain points, market requirements and product value. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment to identify, build and drive the product marketing initiatives that will strongly position Imperva in the small and mid-sized enterprise market.
As a senior product marketing manager, you will operate from a user-first mindset and directly impact our company’s success by working closely with cross-functional teams including product management, marketing, and sales to effectively communicate the value of our products to our target buyers.telling relevant and strategic narratives through the lens of customer personas
The successful candidate will combine an understanding of the market, customer needs and the product portfolio with the creative aspects of positioning technology through stories that are compelling, authentic and engaging. They will see the total business picture and have a well-developed sense of accountability and a personal commitment to success.
What You Will Do
- Drive the go to market strategy for the SME market, partnering with sales, the channel and marketing to execute
- Own self-service trials, including working with product management, design and UX on mapping and optimizing the user journey by using qualitative and quantitative data to identify user actions and engagement rates and optimize onboarding flows
- Develop differentiated positioning and messaging for the SME market that resonates with our target personas and cascade that messaging across all internal, market and customer-facing content
- In collaboration with product design and management teams, leverage your skills and experience as a product marketer to successfully build, execute and optimize PLG initiatives that grow pipeline
- Partner with product teams on A/B testing to identify the most effective strategies to grow pipeline and to build onboarding guides and nurture paths that help prospective customers understand and see value with Imperva’s products
- Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver integrated thought leadership, awareness and pipeline creation programs that help us achieve our targets in the SME market
- Partner with product management to understand the product strategy, market fit and how to position against competitive offerings
What You Need to Succeed
- 5+ years product marketing experience with SaaS-based offerings that were delivered successfully in a product-led fashion
- Proven ability to analyze complex situations and reach conclusions through fact-based decision making
- Excellent storytelling skills with exemplary written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to translate technical concepts into persuasive marketing content for diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to prove what is or isn’t working and adjust accordingly by setting targets and measuring KPIs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally across sales, marketing & product management organizations.
- A drive to constantly optimize and improve, combined with a relentless focus on customer experience
