Our Story

At Wooga, we are very proud of the diverse, creative and friendly environment we have established and we believe you will enjoy working with some of the best people in the industry. Each of our Woogas plays an important role in our success as a company and in shaping our culture. We really value our razor-sharp focus on story-driven casual games, excellent craftsmanship, truly collaborative way of working, and the values we strive to live up to every day. We create joyful experiences that awaken our players’ desire to see what happens next. Based in the heart of Berlin, with over 300 employees from around the world, we work together to create high-quality casual games with engaging stories at the core of the experience.

Will you be a part of our story?

We are seeking an experienced Feature Designer for an exciting opportunity to join the team on Wooga's new game: Claire's Chronicles.
Are you looking to join a company that values collaboration, self-empowerment, and a commitment to progress? Do you want to work on games that inspire joy? At Wooga, we put players at the center of everything we do, listening closely to understand their needs. If you're excited about making a meaningful impact in a supportive and innovative environment, we'd love to connect with you!

About the role:

  • Work closely with fellow Game Designers and Product Managers to form the vision for impactful new features.
  • Conceive and execute on exciting new features, and write and review specs that communicate your vision for those new features to other team disciplines, such as  Engineers, Writers, Artists, Economy Designers, QA, and more.
  • Learn and internalize our players' needs, and use that knowledge to create features that monetize while delighting and entertaining.
  • Analyze feedback and KPIs to improve feature engagement, monetization, and retention.
  • Ensure that features are scalable and adaptable to live service.
  • Integrate new features effectively with the narrative experience, game systems, economy, events, and monetization initiatives.
  • Understand the Claire's Chronicles' audience and its market, to ensure that your features are competitive, engaging, and player-centric.

About you:

  • You have a proven track record of delivering the design for high-impact (monetization and/or engagement) features in the free-to-play games space.
  • You've worked on at least one multiplatform mobile F2P game, ideally in the casual space (LiveOps experience a plus!).
  • You make KPI-driven improvements to feature and game experiences with your analytical skills.
  • You are familiar with the various stages of game production and live game releases.
  • You have experience working in an agile, diverse, and cross-functional team.
  • You consistently work on improving your design skills to increase team creativity and productivity.
  • You have organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to goal setting and deadlines.
  • You have excellent communication skills. You can present your ideas in a clear and comprehensive way using spreadsheets, slideshows, and visual prototyping tools to (large) groups of stakeholders.
  • You understand the long-term value of the mobile gaming market, you have a strong interest in it, and you proactively stay up to date on emerging trends, mechanics and monetization techniques.
  • You have a deep understanding of game systems design.

Please note: Research has shown that some under-represented groups in the gaming industry (eg: women) tend to apply only if they meet every single requirement. Here at Wooga, the desire to learn and the willingness to solve problems are more important to us than your experience on paper. We encourage you to apply even if you do not think that you tick all the boxes - thinking outside of such boxes and embracing the diversity of mindsets and backgrounds is what we believe makes our teams thrive.

Our Promise

  • Shape the future! Challenge the status quo and team up with a diverse group of experts (over 57 nationalities!) working on crafting the world’s best games.
  • We offer a generous relocation package and home search support if you are not already located in Berlin. Did we mention that we also cooperate with Kindergartens?
  • Make use of a significant education budget and extra days off for self-development. Join our meet-ups, talks, brown bag lunches, internal trainings, workshops and many others.
  • Enjoy the yoga, mindfulness app, sports and transport subsidies. And a Purpose Day to donate your time to a worthy cause!
  • Did you know that German is the third most commonly taught language worldwide? Learn it too! We offer German language classes for you and your significant other.
  • With our hybrid work model you will work in the office with your teams twice a week, to encourage in-person collaboration and team bonding The other three days you can choose if you want to work from home or from the office. We also offer 10 days a year to work from abroad. We got your back!
