About This Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join our team based out of our Burgess Hill office. In this role you will be joining an EMEA team of around 35 heads providing financial expertise and guidance to our Teams in EMEA, with our key locations being the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE. This role will involve providing financial insight and analysis to support key decision-making processes, ensuring the organisation achieves its financial and strategic objectives across all locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an in-depth understanding of the defence industry and financial management.
The role involves working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, providing expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. This role is Hybrid and will require you to be in the Burgess Hill office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Lead the consolidation and preparation of the monthly forecast and associated reporting packs for the EMEA Region
Consolidation and preparation of the single project view monthly, including all intercompany workshares
Consolidation of the regional budget and strat plan, with associated supporting documentation
Preparation of ad hoc analyses for questions from the regional or corporate management and presentation to Senior Management to support business decisions
Identification and monitoring of risks within the Region as well as identifying opportunities to increase profitability
Support complex projects across the business which include: financial modelling, trend analyses, sensitivity analyses, profitability analyses
Support in the preparation of business cases as required
Identify and realize efficiencies, harmonize structures and tools within International Region
Interface with various functions across the company, such as Business Development, Operations, Legal and the Headquarter in Montreal
Super user in the region of Hyperion Planning
Regional financial support as needed, new systems/tools
Any other duties as may be required
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and accounting practices
At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within the defence sector or a similar highly regulated industry
Experience with project accounting, cost management, and contract pricing
Demonstrated ability to work with complex financial models and large datasets
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear insights
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills (modelling, pivot tables, etc.).
Proactive, with a strategic mindset and the ability to work independently
Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams
