About the Role
As a Senior Combat Designer, you will be part of a collaborative, multi functional team taking part in the design and execution of combat systems for mobile projects;
You will be responsible for the process and results of the combat system design and implementation.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate on the vision and direction of the combat system with the leads and other designers, aligning with the project's Business, Art and Creative direction;
Define workflow and full cycle for combat system production if needed
To achieve optimal efficiency, foster collaboration and contribute to a team that includes members from various departments and backgrounds;
Define the high-level direction of combat style and key features such as 3c, mobility, and encounter design on paper to illustrate the general intention;
Provide reference games to set up the quality and scope benchmark;
Use necessary prototype tools such as paper design/board game, flash, and animation to validate the combat concept before going into production;
Cooperate with artist and programmer by initiating necessary art and code requirements to create a playable demo on mobile;
Create necessary level elements: layout, enemy, boss, and interactive objects with the help of level designers;
Iterate and polish the combat system following internal and external feedback
Work with numerical and system designers to create key meta components: character and weapon based on combat system.
5+ years of first-hand experience in combat design;
Play a leading role in combat design in at least one full project successfully released;
Solid combat design skills and a deep understanding of gameplay and challenge design;
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks;
Good communication skills. Fluent English is a plus;
Ability to use UE.
