Company Description

Are you ready to take a leading role and drive meaningful change for a large FMCG account? We’re looking for a Senior Business Director (SBD) to champion our clients and inspire our team.

At Saatchi’s, we call ourselves a Nothing Is Impossible company. We believe great ideas can change culture and shape society for the better. And we’re looking for like-minded creative people to help us make memorable work in our Auckland office.

Join a diverse collective of creative souls; hungry for greatness, respectful of each other and optimistic in mindset. We’re looking for someone who can help us create outstanding work for a wide array of clients in multiple sectors.

As an SBD, you’ll be the linchpin between our agency and clients, fostering robust relationships built on trust and mutual respect. You’ll steer strategic conversations, guide your team, and deliver brave, innovative solutions that propel our clients’ success.

In this role, you will be lead and nurture the client relationship, drive strategic debates and maintain operational excellence in the day-to-day running of the account while effectively managing client expectations. To do so, it’s paramount that you understand the clients industry, product and challenges inside-and-out and leverage these to drive success.

You will also provide leadership internally and engaging the right people at the right time to develop excellent creative solutions, using your creative judgement and be fully accountable for the financials of your account.

To operate successfully as an SBD at Saatchi’s, you’d;

  • Have the personality to drive a culture of hunger, collaboration, curiosity, integrity and creativity across the teams and wider agency, inspiring those around you to be the best they can be.
  • Possess a passion and enthusiasm for the business of advertising and the agency, and pass these qualities on to the team
  • Possess impeccable creative judgement with the ability to quickly identify work that is strategically and tonally right for the client and you should have the personality and confidence to galvanise the team to get it back on track if it’s falling short.
  • Strong leadership skills. You can rise above the ‘day-to-day’ noise and see the bigger picture with the ability to read people, the room, the situation.
  • Exceptional strategic abilities. You have honed your ability to distinguish between simply good work and work that drives business results and can passionately and confidently articulate this point of view, with or without the support of the Planning Department.

At Saatchi’s, we value creativity, integrity, and collaboration. You'll be part of a team that thrives on innovation and supports your professional growth. If you’re ready to elevate your career and make an impact, we want to hear from you!
