We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team to assist with month-end closing and monthly analytics of actual results. Successful Senior Accountants have a desire to gain a deep understanding of the business and have a customer service mindset towards the various Corporate Functions with whom there is regular interaction. Our team values recommendations on process improvements and standardization to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness within the finance organization. Job Responsibilities -Month end close activities, including preparation of complex journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure accurate reporting to the GL in PeopleSoft and/or Oracle (including project ledger) 30% -Prepare and communicate monthly actuals results (variance analytics) to management 20% -Partner with finance/operations business partners to provide support to key stakeholders 15% -Prepare account reconciliations, analysis, and certifications in Cadency 15% -Perform and assist with AdHoc and/or special projects, as needed, but expected on a regular basis 10% -Assist with various quarterly and Year End audit request 10% JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Work Experience • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required and a strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, and relevant local GAAP as required Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university • Master’s degree in accounting a plus • CPA license (or equivalent) attained or progress toward attainment Knowledge/Skills • Detailed oriented with a strong desire to meet deadlines and other relevant performance metrics • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, highly organized • Mental agility to prioritize, problem-solve and execute independently in a fast-paced environment • Excellent work habits, including initiative, independent problem-solving abilities and ownership of work product • Willing to embrace change and explore new ways of working as the company continuously improves its processes • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel • Ability to foster positive working relationships across the organization • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Other Requirements o Preferred experience: o Big 4 or other public accounting experience o Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP, Cadency and/or Blackline o Affiliate revenue accounting or the media/entertainment industry o ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers Management has the right to add or change duties and job requirements at any time.
