Job Description

Job Title: Salesforce Technical Lead

Position Summary: As Salesforce Technical Lead at SS&C Intralinks, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, deploying and supporting Salesforce solutions in accordance with business requirements. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and leadership to a team of developers and admins, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Technical Leadership:
    • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
    • Act as the go-to Salesforce expert – providing Salesforce technical advice, design direction, and leadership

  • Mentor and guide developers, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Project Management:
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Assist in the estimation of work effort and determination of required resources.

  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Development:
    • Develop custom Salesforce applications, including Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components.
    • Integrate Salesforce with other systems and applications using APIs and middleware.
    • Perform regular code reviews and unit testing.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce applications and integrations on an as needed basis.  This includes ‘off-hours’ urgent issues.
    • Analyze and optimize Salesforce performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
    • Provide technical support as needed by analyzing, replicating/fixing defects and providing root cause analysis
  • Managing Deployments:
    • Plan, execute and support Salesforce deployments, including user acceptance testing (UAT), production cutover and post deployment activities
    • Ensure that all deployment activities are completed successfully and without disruption to end-users.
    • Document and track deployment progress, including any issues or challenges encountered.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Salesforce.com Certified Platform Developer I and/or Certified Platform Developer II
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce platform features, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and integration with external systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Apex and other relevant languages.
  • Experience with Salesforce configuration, customization, and data migration.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage development teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
