Summary

The Rights Analyst will manage program rights and financial information within the rights management system and programming budget files, supporting the EMEA Programming and Acquisitions team for Max EMEA and HBO Europe. Responsibilities include data entry, updates, and management of complex rights data; generating rights reports using query tools; invoice validation and processing; and administering programming budget files. The role requires collaboration with various teams including Acquisitions, Programming, Legal, and Finance. The ideal candidate possesses strong administrative skills, excellent Excel proficiency, and experience with rights management systems and query tools. Experience in the media industry and SQL knowledge are preferred.

Purpose of the position

Administering both programming rights in the rights management system and financial information in the programming budget files, working closely with the EMEA Programming and Acquisitions team supporting Max EMEA and HBO Europe.

Job assignment

As Rights Analyst, you will work with content rights management and supervise and support the rights data and budget administration as well as work with expansions to new markets.

This will include the following tasks:

- Working in the rights management system, entering, updating and managing complex data, program rights and program information making sure that content rights are kept up to date according to contracts and legal documents.

- Supporting the business and stakeholders with providing rights reports using query tools

- Invoice validation and processing in the rights management system, bridging to finance team by providing supporting documentation when needed

- Processing of fees and payment terms in the system

- Administering the programming budget files, taking a proactive approach to keep the files well maintained

Key relationships

You will report to the Director of Rights and Administration and work closely with the Acquisitions team as well as the entire Programming Team, legal, finance and other stakeholders.

Qualification Skills

Experience

Admin background minimum 2-3 years.

Excellent in Excel.

Preferred experience working with a rights management system

Experience with query tools to create data reports (Knowledge in Sql preferred).

Knowledge and skills

Fluent in English – both in writing and speaking (all correspondence will be in in English)

Good knowledge about TV/SVOD rights

MS Office

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems

Personal qualities

Solid admin skills and ability to process high volumes of complex rights data with excellent quality

Thoroughness is essential for this role
