Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Release Manager to join our team here at Escape Velocity. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of game updates, new features, and full releases to players globally. You will coordinate with internal teams including development and QA ensuring every release meets quality standards, deadlines, and aligns with our strategic goals.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the release and deployment process, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality gaming experiences to our players.
  • Drive discussions between the development team and operations to make the best decisions for our live services and our players.
  • Collaborate with publishing, marketing, and product teams to review release protocols and provide feedback that prevents and mitigates player pain.
  • Be an active contributor in the continual improvement of our build and releases processes.
  • Work with the development team to identify and mitigate risks in a virtual fast-paced environment to ensure minimal impact to our build processes and releases.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in release management, preferably within the gaming industry.
  • 5+ years’ experience in game development.
  • Professional experience in updating and deploying live, SaaS games.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with release management tools, such as: Jekins, Jira, Horde, or similar systems.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems, such as: P4V, Git, etc.
  • Familiarity with the Unreal Engine 5+
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve emergent issues.
