As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. You will manage software development projects from requirements through launch, including defining feature requirements, managing project schedules, and performing risk management. You will identify trends and themes among project and team issues, and drive root-cause analysis with the Engineering, Product, and UX teams. You will optimize team and project processes to ensure efficiency and quality of output. You will analyze data and draw insights from the data to drive projects and direction. You will communicate with core team and partner teams, and manage the relationships across team member and drive a quarterly planning process for the team.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience in software development
Good to have:
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
  • Experience with mobile app development or with software platform projects
  • Experience managing execution and high quality product delivery
  • Ability to solve software engineering challenges
  • Excellent problem solving and quantitative skills

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
