As an Experiences Product Manager on Project Starline, your primary focus will be to define, build, and deliver the key aspects of the Project Starline experience. You will work with design, engineering and research teams to help us shape the future of how video meetings should look and feel. Project Starline from Google combines advances in hardware and software to enable friends, families and co-workers to feel together, even when they’re cities (or countries) apart. Imagine looking through a magic window, and through that window, you see another person, life-size and in three-dimensions. As part of the Project Starline team, you'll work with researchers and engineers in a fast-paced product-oriented environment. Our teams collaborate closely with Google Workspace and Research teams. Your contributions will have an impact on the future of communications with Google products. You will apply technology to solve that really important problem that we often want to be together and we can’t.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • Experience working on system UI and developing holistic design frameworks or experience with 3D Graphics and Extended Reality (XR)
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership
  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering
  • Experience driving a program from research and development to a realized product
  • Experience working with and serving Enterprise customers
  • Experience in launching user-facing software

Minimum qualifications:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work with design, engineering, and user research teams to define and refine the Starline core meeting experience.
  • Create experiments to test various design system treatments and interactions, to make the Starline meeting experience delightful and memorable.
  • Reimagine video meetings in 3D, thinking through new features and capabilities to enhance the meeting experience.
  • Explore techniques to further connection and collaboration between Starline meeting participants.
